Â
However, securing a second-place finish, trailing the first position by less than a second, made me want to commit to racing all events in the comming season.Â
The first round took place in Carrick, featuring a remarkably fast track. During my race run, a flat tire posed an early challenge, yet through a determined effort in the latter part of the course, I secured a first-place finish.
Â
The second race, held at Shronaboy Farm, was on a flat track with a lot of pedaling. Despite my initial uncertainty about the track it was very fun, I attained a commendable second-place finish.Â
Â
With a small break between Shronaboy Farm and the season’s final race, I ventured into my first enduro race not knowing what to expect in tried my hardest and came in first place with a significant lead.
Â
The last race of the idms event in Bree showcased one of my favorite tracks from the year. Although everything progressed smoothly until the last run, where i pushed to hard at the top led to an unfortunate unclipping incident, resulting in a loss of momentum. Despite trying my best attempt to recover, I ended the race in 5th
Â
My overall performance in the women’s category of the IDMS earned me a satisfying 3rd place, a noteworthy achievement for my first year of racing .This experience has given me a deeper passion for racing, making me want to pursue it further, with the ultimate dream of making a livelihood from my love for biking.
